Here is 1 of the 6 bridges that cross the Maligne canyon & river. I often visit this area & always enjoy the path that follows the river from its meeting with the Athabasca river, up to the canyon.

Pictured here is all that remains of this homestead. A lovely little spot located on the southern shore of the Athabasca river. The brother of this homesteader also had a cabin, located on the northern shore.

Totem pole

This totem pole faces the railway, greeting rail passenger as they arrive at the Jasper trainstation. Enjoy it while you can, officials say that it has interior rot & they don't expected it to survive to many more years.

One of the many lovely look-out points to be found along the various trails. This spot is located just north-west of the town of Jasper.

First light, rising from behind Roche Bonhomme.

On Pyramid lake island, you can walk along the path & stop at various benches to enjoy the view. From this vantage point you can see Mt. Edith Cavell through the trees.

This 15 inch rainbow trout was recently caught in Cabin lake. Taste great too! :)
